New band and new album! November 7, 2006
Ladies and gents, it is with much pride and excitement that we present to you our latest signing, Seattle's own Key Note Speaker! We've just made available their brilliant new concept album The Musical in our online store. Jack Endino (Nirvana, Hot Hot Heat, and countless others) produced and mixed the album, and the Wig That Fits All Heads has caught on early, calling it "one of the most distinct and intelligent albums of the year." You can get acquainted with them on our artists page or at KNSpeaker.Com.
We will have free MP3s for your sampling pleaure shortly, but in the meantime check out the band's Myspace to stream four tracks off the record. Soon we will have national and international release dates (it's currently only a regional/online release), a tour of the West Coast in February, several music videos, availability in the iTunes store, and much more. This album's gonna be making big waves in '07, so catch on now before your friends do!
The band has a local release show November 9th (this Thursday) at The Nectar in Seattle, and Jetpack UK are finishing up the second leg of their gargantuan fall tour as we speak. Get info for both on the Shows page. Email the address linked there and get into the KNS show for free!
But that's just the beginning. We've got new releases slated for early '07 already, and on top of that, we're working with a slew of new bands behind the scenes right now. We'll be able to tell you all about that very soon, with a new look to match our new roster, to boot. Things ought to be heating up around here this winter...so stick around and stay warm. (Might we suggest using our email list?)

Jetpack tour October 15, 2006
After beginning recording on their new full-length at Brian Carter's Paradox Productions in Murfreesboro, TN, Jetpack UK have launched the second leg of their national Fall 2006 tour. In support of both their new Heatstroke EP and recently published children's book, Jetpack will be playing in libraries and rock clubs alike from now through the first two weeks of November. Go check out the Shows page and see if the band will be in your vicinity!
We've got an excellent new release from one of Seattle's finest en route from the pressing plant to Heatstroke headquarters right now and we're real psyched to let you know all about it. As a label we're in a bit of a transitional phase right now, and we've got a lot of big announcements to shout about in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled to this page!

Exciting tidbits August 13, 2006
The Foxymorons' debut long-player for Heatstroke, 2005's Hesitation Eyes, has just seen an import-only release on Japan's Star Mole Records. It features the b-side "What You're Waiting For" (previously an iTunes exclusive), as well as the band's lo-fi cover of Gram Parsons' "Older Guys," not to mention new artwork. You can check that out here, or you can pick up the domestic copy from the Heatstroke Store, if you don't feel like paying the extra dough.
Jetpack UK's self-titled debut album, self-released in 2002 and long out of print, has also just seen the Japanese re-release treatment, on the very prestigious Wizzard in Vinyl label, no less. The re-release features four bonus tracks, comprising of 2004's also out-of-print Saxophone EP. You can scope that here. In other Jetpack news, Child's World Publishing's book starring the band, entitled Inside a Rock Band, is set for release on September 15th. Check that out here.
Much more news is on the way, including a brand new Heatstroke roster, three new releases before the year's close, and a brand new look and feel for the label. We're currently working with more bands than you can count with your two hands (believe it!), so get pumped and check back frequently. News is on the way!
